A new man for Serena?

OMG! There are so many exciting new developments as season 2 hits full stride. First, some casting news:

It certainly doesn't look like it took Serena very long to get over Dan! The Upper East Side's resurrected diva has taken a shine to a new man, played by John Patrick Amedori, best known for playing the young Ashton Kutcher in The Butterfly Effect. John Patrick plays Aaron Rose, an edgy artist who woos our newly single heroine beginning in episode 8. Looks like they make a hot couple--just check out these pictures posted on celebuzz.

Another fantastic piece of casting news is the role of Aaron's father, Cyrus, who will be played by Wallace Shawn. Star of Clueless and one of my personal favorites, The Princess Bride, Wallace's character ends up married to Eleanor Waldorf in the Gossip Girl
series by Cecily von Ziegesar. It will be interesting to see if the CW show follows the same storyline...

One more spoiler to report...a Jenny/Nate hookup is ON! With their accidental make-out at the masked ball and strong friend connection in season 1 (not to mention that they hook up in the book series!) I've been wondering if these two would eventually find romance on the show. For me, the jury is still out on this hook-up; Jenny seems a lot younger than Nate, even though they are only two years apart in the Gossip Girl universe (probably because there is more like an 8 year age difference between Taylor Momsen and Chace Crawford. Ick).

Now it's YOUR turn! Is Serena meant to be with Dan, or does Aaron have serious potential? Is the Nate-Jenny relationship cute or creepy? Will either of these couplings last past February sweeps?
