It seems that Lady Gaga has had her hands clutched too tight around her money vault, I mean seriously, it’s not like she has enough anyway as one of the most popular stars in the music industry. Recently, Gaga’s assistant came forward and is claiming that she is owed $400,000 in overtime pay after attending to Gaga’s every need for four weeks in 2009 and then throughout 2010 and into March of this year, according to an article in E! Entertainment. Jennifer L. O’Neill is now suing Lady Gaga for the money that she’s owed.

The plaintiff is claiming that she worked 7,168 hours of overtime during her employment with the star, meaning she was basically on duty 24/7 for all of Gaga’s needs. Her complaint states that she was paid $1,000 per week for her time in 2009, and then an annual salary of $75,000 for the rest.

According to the lawsuit, this is just the base salary and doesn’t account for the time that O’Neill spent attending to Gaga’s business ranging from in her home and travels for global concert tours, city to city throughout the world, locales including stadiums, private jets, fine hotel suites, yachts, ferries, trains and tour buses. O’Neill was mainly just behind the scenes, but always at Gaga’s side.

A representative for Gaga is saying that O’Neill’s suit is completely without merit, which isn’t that surprising. However, O’Neill is still requesting to be paid at least $393,014, which encompasses the alleged unpaid overtime and fair compensation for working 10-hour days.
